New Temporary Ramps
We have recently improved our temporary ramps by incorporating the ABS Substrate . This substrate and an aluminum framework forms a portable (less than 40 lbs) easily adjustable ramp. The system also incorporates a collection box with screened overflow and return line, and a supply manifold with adjustable attraction and transport flow. The ramp is supplied complete, aside from supply hose, pump (if not using a siphon), and some water plug (concrete) for creating a smooth transition at the ramp entrance. The legs may be bolted down if required.
The price for the ramp as shown is $2,000.00 plus shipping.
The ramp is highly compact and portable, while still easily deployed.
The covered ramp with the overflow return (scent line) to the ramp. The collection box is easily removed to dump into another tank.
The cover over the exit is hinged to easily verify the spray pattern. The spray bar may be supplied as single point overshot or as multiple individual jets along the crest.
Manifold side with valved attraction and transport water. The supply hose is not shown.
The substrate is ABS plastic formed in the V shaped hybrid pattern as developed in conjunction with the Conte Lab.
Temporary Ramps
Temporary Eel Ramps, or Traps, are typically used to locate permanent eel passage facilities. Multiple temporary ramps are installed at various positions (guided by knowledge of eel behavior) at a dam for one or two seasons. The number of eels collected at each location helps lead to the successful positioning of the final eel passage system. The ramps are typically short, with the collection bucket placed on the riverbed. The plumbing is integrated into the ramp, with the supply water either pumped or gravity fed from the headpond.
We have supplied temporary ramps to accommodate a variety of climbing substrates.
